Senior Electrical Engineer - Water

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and engineering for all phases of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, from planning through post-construction.
• Act as the electrical discipline lead, technical lead, or Engineer-of-Record (EOR) on multidisciplinary projects.
• Develop and manage electrical scope, budgets, staffing, and schedules.
• Prepare electrical construction drawings, including single line diagrams, power and lighting plans, and motor control schematics.
• Perform power system modeling and analysis, including load flow, short circuit, and arc flash studies.
• Lead the preparation of technical specifications, equipment datasheets, and testing/commissioning plans.
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior and intermediate engineers and designers.
• Conduct field reviews, respond to RFIs, and oversee construction phase services to ensure design conformance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.).
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in consulting supporting water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with power system software such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, or EasyPower.
• Strong understanding of electrical codes, industry standards, and construction methods within the water sector.
• Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project management experience specifically within the municipal water/wastewater sector.
• Familiarity with Bentley products (e.g., Microstation).
