Responsibilities

• Design and bring up Hybrid Inverter, converter, switches, and battery management system architectures
• Design switching logic and hardware for onsite AC load management between hybrid systems and the grid
• Build "charge-and-switch" logic to manage energy transitions between battery, generator, and grid
• Source components from multiple vendors to optimize for speed-to-prototype
• Ensure hardware-mechanical synergy, accounting for thermal management and ruggedized packaging
• Develop test plans and perform development testing for verification and validation of assemblies
• Create and maintain system electrical schematics and document operating procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• 7+ years of industry experience in system-level power electronics
• Direct experience with High Power (25-250kW) Hybrid Inverters and DC-DC conversion
• Proficiency in Altium Designer and PCB layout with a focus on DFM
• Expert-level use of PLECS, PSIM, or MATLAB/Simulink for power stage and control loop simulation
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, or Creo)
• Experience with C/C++ for microcontrollers and firmware alignment
• Knowledge of UL 1741 and IEEE 1547 standards
• Experience with development testing, failure analysis, and debugging complex systems
