Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Lead Electrical Engineer to assist in developing electrical engineers on staff
• Production of engineering studies including power system modeling, short circuit analysis, protective device coordination, arc flash, and shock hazard analysis
• Review electrical engineering work completed by internal team and contractors, provide feedback, and stamp approved reports
• Format study results and provide recommendations to remedy power system deficiencies
• Engage in on-site meetings to quantify scope of work and produce quotes
• Extract information from electrical drawings and project specifications
• Manage client expectations

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
• Michigan Professional Engineer (PE) license or willingness to obtain
• Expert understanding of IEEE and NEC
• Advanced ability to read and interpret electrical drawings (one-lines, riser diagrams, panel schedules)
• Previous experience with short circuit, protective device coordination, or arc flash analysis studies
• Proficiency with SKM PowerTools and AutoCAD
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional PE licenses in Ohio, Indiana, or Illinois
• Basic understanding of ETAP or EasyPower
