Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead embedded electronic design from concept to production including schematic capture, PCB layout, and firmware
• Define product electrical and firmware architecture for global teams and manufacturing partners
• Coordinate engineering tasks to meet prototype milestones for research programs
• Partner with Engineering and Product Marketing to develop EBOM cost estimates
• Ensure products meet global certification standards for consumer electronics compliance
• Lead EMI/EMC and compliance issue resolution through root cause analysis
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to organizational goal-setting

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• 5+ years in embedded hardware and firmware design
• Experience with full product development cycles
• Proven ability to design electronics from scratch
• Experience in component selection, system architecture, and design verification
• Firmware development for microcontrollers (C/ASM)
• Familiarity with DFM, DFT, and reliability principles
• EMI/EMC troubleshooting and compliance resolution experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Consumer product or consumer goods consulting experience
• Familiarity with compilers, IDEs, JIRA, and SVN
• Experience working within distributed, multi-site engineering teams
