Senior Electrical Engineer - PCB Designer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end PCB/PCBA design in Altium including circuit design, schematic capture, and component selection
• Design multi-layer boards (4+ layers) with controlled impedance routing and high-speed interfaces
• Apply best practices for SI/PI/EMI, including return path continuity and decoupling strategies
• Incorporate regulatory compliance requirements such as EMC/EMI, ESD, and electrical safety standards
• Partner with firmware and controls teams on board bring-up, debugging, and validation testing
• Collaborate with manufacturing partners on DFM, DFA, and DFT
• Interface with external test labs for pre-compliance and formal certification (FCC, UL, etc.)

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience designing PCBAs for production hardware
• Proficiency with Altium Designer
• Experience with multi-layer boards and high-speed design (differential pairs, length matching)
• Strong understanding of mixed-signal layout, grounding, and EMI/EMC fundamentals
• Hands-on experience with board bring-up and debugging
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, motor control hardware, CAN, Ethernet, or NFC/RFID
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes (DFM/DFA/DFT) and regulatory standards (FCC, CE, UL)
