Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain system power budgets and power allocation strategies
• Ensure adequate power availability and margin throughout all operational modes
• Define power distribution architectures and electrical interfaces
• Support requirements development, design, integration, test, certification, and fielding activities
• Analyze system power consumption and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and performance
• Resolve power-related issues discovered during development, integration, test, and operational use
• Coordinate with subsystem owners to ensure compliance with system power allocations and requirements
• Provide technical leadership for power distribution design decisions and trade studies
• Assess power system impacts resulting from design changes, obsolescence issues, and field modifications

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience with increasing technical responsibility
• U.S. citizenship
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field
• Experience with military, aerospace, defense, or mission-critical systems
• Prior USN (military or civilian) experience
• Experience with AEGIS combat system interfaces or similar System of Systems (SoS) weapons systems
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools such as Jira and Confluence
