Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive electrical design for high speed digital communication systems, implementing RF and mixed-signal designs in complex, multilayer PCBs
• Work with 100G high speed networking, complex digital power trees, and drive system trades for architecture decisions
• Perform schematic capture, layout, and bring-up on a variety of different digital systems including FPGAs, microcontrollers, and their associated peripherals
• Collaborate across hardware and software teams with RF engineers, antenna engineers, FPGA engineers, and firmware engineers to optimize system performance
• Test prototypes and assess performance in the lab and in the field
• Work with production teams to make testable and manufacturable products

Requirements

• 5-7+ years of professional experience in electrical design
• Proficiency in high-density/high-speed design (FPGAs, high speed data converters, SerDes, 10/100 GigE, networking, JESD204C)
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout design
• Experience with troubleshooting EMI/EMC
• Knowledge of PCB materials and board stack-up definition
• Familiarity with soldering and hot air rework methods
• Experience with full product lifecycle from concept through production
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual per ITAR regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing high-speed mixed-signal electronics for FPGA- or processor-based systems
• Expertise in multi-gigabit SerDes, DDR, JESD204B/C, and 10/100G Ethernet
• Deep understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC mitigation
• Proven experience leading hardware development from architecture through production ramp
• Hands-on experience debugging complex hardware using advanced lab instrumentation
