Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform quality analysis and quality control for electrical engineering design drawings, construction drawings, and cost estimates
• Complete designs per NEC, NESC, NFPA 780, IEEE publications, and local jurisdictional requirements
• Perform engineering site surveys and collaborate with field crews
• Complete and review detailed power distribution designs for low and medium voltage systems, including single/three-line diagrams, load analysis, and relay protection schemes
• Conduct short-circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash hazard studies
• Design EV charging, battery energy storage systems (BESS), solar PV, and microgrid systems
• Evaluate designs for constructability and maintain company standards and templates
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineering team members
• Assist Senior Engineering Leads with daily operations and resource allocation

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering
• 5+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Proficiency in electrical engineering software (ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, CYME, CYMCAP, PowerWorld, XGSLab, CDEGS, or PLS-CADD)
• Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and complex design problem-solving
• Ability to work autonomously without supervision
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• EIT or PE license
• Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
