Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical engineering designs for water treatment equipment, including Motor Control Centres, LV distribution systems, cabling, instrumentation, and SCADA.
• Produce and review technical specifications and schedules for procurement activities and evaluate supplier tender bids.
• Apply and contribute to design standards, ensuring compliance with client and industry requirements.
• Manage the integration of electrical designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Act as a technical checker on project documentation and undertake technical reviews across teams.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop practical and safe solutions.
• Supervise and mentor graduate engineers to support their professional development.
• Undertake site reviews to ensure the buildability of solutions and integration with existing systems.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience with water or wastewater projects (infrastructure or non-infrastructure).
• Experience delivering high-quality outputs in accordance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Valid driving licence and a willingness to travel to various sites.
• Strong communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
