Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own electrical system architecture and design from concept through production, ensuring performance, cost, quality, and manufacturability targets are met
• Drive internal and external development efforts, including in-house prototyping and managing outsourced design execution with suppliers
• Define system requirements, specifications, and validation plans based on customer needs
• Lead technical decision-making and tradeoff analysis across performance, cost, reliability, and schedule
• Develop, prototype, troubleshoot, and validate electrical systems through hands-on lab work and root cause analysis
• Partner with global suppliers to mature designs and ensure manufacturing readiness
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers to reinforce engineering excellence
• Communicate technical direction, risks, and progress clearly to cross-functional teams and leadership

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar field
• 5+ years of experience in a related electrical design field
• Strong knowledge of power electronics and motor control
• Broad-based experience with analog circuitry and embedded systems
• Understanding of firmware development and programming best practices
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on attitude
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel up to 10% (domestic and international)

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Familiarity with advanced simulation tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, or SPICE
• Proficiency with Altium design software
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI and ESD design practices
• Experience with portable electronics, power tools, or consumer electronics
• Knowledge of mechanical design, motor design, and thermal management concepts
