Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and support electrical architectures for subsystem and system-level hardware integration
• Develop schematics, interface definitions, and electrical documentation for mixed-signal and embedded hardware
• Lead PCB development, component selection, and board bring-up
• Build and integrate SDR-based systems including power, clocking, and RF interconnects
• Integrate RF, digital, FPGA, processor, and sensor hardware into cohesive systems
• Ensure proper implementation of power distribution, grounding, shielding, and EMI/EMC mitigation
• Support hardware bring-up, benchtop debug, and root-cause analysis
• Coordinate with mechanical, RF, software, and systems teams on hardware interfaces

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field
• 5+ years of professional experience in mixed-signal, embedded, or avionics hardware
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design layout
• Strong knowledge of power distribution, grounding, shielding, and signal integrity
• Experience building and debugging software-defined radio (SDR) systems
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance up to Top Secret
• Experience with bench test, debug, and root-cause analysis
• Ability to read and develop interface control documents and wiring diagrams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SDR platforms for communications or telemetry
• Familiarity with high-speed digital interfaces and clock distribution
• Knowledge of aerospace environmental standards (MIL-STD-461/810, DO-160)
• Proficiency with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic analyzers
• Experience in startup environments or small engineering teams
