Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all phases of capital projects, including business case development, cost estimates, design engineering, construction management, and commissioning.
• Independently manage project budgets, schedules, and technical performance for both small and major projects.
• Develop and refine equipment reliability strategies, including predictive and preventative maintenance programs.
• Lead criticality assessments and champion Asset Class Management for critical equipment.
• Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to ensure proper identification of issues and completion of action items.
• Manage the procurement process, including bid analysis, technical evaluation, and coordination with global sourcing.
• Support the skills development of less experienced team members and coordinate with engineering partners and contractors.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in project management or reliability engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field.
• Technical proficiency in DCS, PLC, and power distribution systems.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and strategic planning skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a Pulp, Paper, or Power facility.
• Background in engineering management or senior project management.
