Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design control panels in compliance with NEC (NFPA 70) and UL 508A standards
• Develop complete control panel schematics, layouts, and BOM using EPLAN
• Select components including connectors, wire harnesses, branch circuit protection, and power conversion devices
• Select components rated for 600V AC and 2000V DC high-voltage applications
• Work with third-party panel vendors to translate design intent into built assemblies
• Execute and oversee high-voltage testing procedures including hipot and insulation resistance
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers on enclosure selection and thermal management
• Support DFMEA activities for panel-level failure mode identification

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field with 5+ years of experience (or Master's with 3+ years)
• Proficiency in EPLAN or equivalent panel design software
• Experience designing panels to NEC and UL 508A requirements
• Hands-on experience with high-voltage testing procedures and safety protocols
• Knowledge of branch protection coordination, wire sizing, and power conversion device integration
• Experience managing third-party panel fabrication vendors
• Familiarity with PLM (Arena, Team Center), JIRA, and JAMA
