Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support sales proposals with conceptual electrical system configurations and projected engineering hours
• Create electrical schematics and panel layout diagrams in AutoCAD Electrical
• Select and specify electrical components and generate Bills of Materials
• Generate organized PLC and HMI code utilizing various methodologies
• Develop intuitive and attractive HMI screens with consistent navigation workflows
• Debug electrical issues, optimize system functionality, and participate in factory acceptance testing
• Travel to customer sites to commission equipment
• Conduct investigations for service calls and document root cause analyses
• Train customers and team members on HMI use and equipment fine-tuning

Requirements

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• Minimum ten years of experience in electrical and control systems for industrial machinery
• Expert knowledge of low, medium, and high voltage industrial electrical systems
• High proficiency in programming Allen Bradley PLCs and HMIs
• Experience specifying VFDs, motor protectors, contactors, and soft starts
• Experience with motion control devices and programming
• Advanced skill in troubleshooting electrical systems and PLC programs
• Expert knowledge of NEC codes and UL-508 standards
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and reading P&IDs
• Ability to travel to customer sites for commissioning
