About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop low-voltage battery systems, including battery packs, BMS, and charging architectures
- Lead the development of hybrid and electrified powertrain systems
- Define and specify HV electrical architectures, including wire harnesses, connectors, and power distribution
- Collaborate with suppliers on battery cell selection, pack design, and thermal management
- Ensure compliance with low-voltage safety standards and functional safety requirements
- Support system integration, validation, and testing through lab and field testing
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation, schematics, and validation plans
- Utilize CAD tools for packaging of battery systems and system layouts
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in electrification, EV, hybrid systems, or energy storage systems
- Strong experience with low-voltage battery systems and electrified powertrains
- Knowledge of BMS design, battery pack architecture, and thermal management
- Experience with power electronics, inverters, DC/DC converters, and charging infrastructure
- Familiarity with safety standards and functional safety (ISO 26262 preferred)
- Understanding of EMC/EMI considerations in high-power systems
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive EV, off-highway electrification, or alternative energy industries
- Experience with C++, Python, embedded systems, and CAN communication
