About the role
Responsibilities
- Join an engineering team designing super-resolution microscopes, including signal processing, motion control, robotics and system automation
- Contribute to system design architecture of instrument control and data acquisition systems
- Design, prototype, and test electronic assemblies
- Work closely with microscopy and automation teams on design validation and improvements
- Build and release assemblies with full documentation and test procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience
- Experience designing complex digital and analog circuitry
- Systems design experience contributing to design architecture
- Experience with PCBA layout, contract manufacturers, and debugging high density PCBAs
- Proficiency with oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
- Experience in high-speed circuitry design such as DDR memory interfaces
- Proficiency with CAD systems for schematic capture and PCB layout for signal integrity and EMI
- Experience in debugging and design validation of microcontrollers or SoC-based systems
- Proficiency in analog circuit design, analysis, and simulation
Preferred Qualifications
- FPGA design and debug experience
- Intel/Altera Quartus experience
- SystemVerilog proficiency
