Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and support a team of electrical engineers
• Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
• Lead the full lifecycle of electrical design from feasibility to As-Built documentation
• Oversee production of design markups, drawings, specifications, and schedules
• Undertake and approve detailed engineering calculations for lighting, LV, and transformer sizing
• Manage and review specialist supplier and subcontractor technical submissions
• Ensure effective integration of electrical systems within a BIM-driven environment
• Represent the electrical discipline in client and project meetings

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional registration with the Engineering Council
• Sufficient experience in the railway industry
• Experience in rail station electrical services design and coordination
• Knowledge of British Standards and rail standards (Network Rail, HS2, TfL)
• Proficiency with Trimble/Amtech Pro Design, Dialux, or Relux
• Experience managing works in accordance with NR-L2-RSE-02009
• Must have the right to work in the UK

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of design stages such as RIBA, BSRIA, or GRIP
• Experience working with 3D models in a BIM environment
• Understanding of CDM, CSM, and NEC contracts
• Experience in multi-disciplinary design and coordination
