Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and improve product designs for switchgear control systems and protective relay configurations and settings
• Coordinate with Application Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, Sales, and customers to ensure product requirements meet industry standards and scope of work
• Support production and manufacturing engineering to achieve successful testing and production of control systems
• Analyze, document, and resolve product reliability issues in collaboration with Quality and Application Engineers
• Maintain design guides, product designs, and change notices within ERP, PDM, and IT systems
• Collaborate with project teams to implement new products and features, assisting with verification and validation processes
• Identify creative solutions and perform engineering analysis to drive product cost savings and process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
• 2+ years of relevant engineering experience
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future
• Residency or willingness to relocate to Broomfield, CO (Relocation benefits offered)

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of design experience with electrical control systems
• Experience with medium voltage design and power system analysis
• Experience with SEL overcurrent protection relays and SEL Accelerator software
• Strong analytical aptitude for troubleshooting analog and digital designs at the component level
• Proficiency in engineering analysis and digital simulation tools (CAD, FEA, statistical analysis)
• Experience using Root Cause Analysis techniques for problem-solving
• Knowledge of product design, DFM/DFA, and manufacturing processes
