Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and test electronic circuits for interfacing with a wide range of sensors (optical, environmental, geospatial, spectral, chemical, etc.)
• Evaluate and select appropriate sensors based on performance, accuracy, and environmental conditions
• Develop signal conditioning, amplification, and filtering circuits for sensor outputs
• Integrate sensors into embedded systems ensuring compatibility with power systems and microcontrollers to MIL-STDs
• Collaborate with firmware engineers to optimize data acquisition and calibration algorithms
• Conduct validation and calibration testing to ensure performance meets design requirements
• Create detailed technical documentation including schematics, PCB layouts, and BOMs
• Support production and troubleshooting activities to resolve hardware issues

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field
• 5–7+ years of experience in electronic design and sensor system integration
• Strong knowledge of analog and digital circuit design
• Hands-on experience with MEMS, optical, thermal, and environmental sensors
• Proficiency with EDA tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or OrCAD
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontrollers (STM32, ESP32, ARM Cortex, etc.)
• Experience in PCB design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes
• Understanding of noise reduction, EMI/EMC principles, and signal integrity
• Experience with lab instruments including oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
• Experience with firmware development in Python for sensor interfacing and testing
