Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of power electronics subsystems including battery management, power distribution, and DC-DC conversion
• Design and validate motor drive circuits for high-performance actuation using FOC/BLDC/PMSM topologies
• Design sensor integration circuits for IMUs, encoders, hall-effect, force/torque, and thermal sensors
• Create schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts using industry-standard EDA tools
• Perform circuit simulation and systematic hardware validation using oscilloscopes and power analyzers
• Apply EMI/EMC design principles and support FCC, CE, and UL certification
• Drive DFM/DFA decisions to ensure manufacturability and testability at scale
• Instrument boards and conduct board-level bring-up and subsystem verification
• Collaborate with firmware and mechanical engineers on interfaces and thermal constraints

Requirements

• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience in robotics, industrial automation, automotive, or consumer electronics
• Experience with at least one product shipped to production
• Hands-on PCB design experience with complex, multi-layer boards (8+ layers)
• Proven experience designing power electronics (BMS, power distribution, or DC-DC conversion)
• Motor drive design experience (BLDC, PMSM, or servo drive circuits)
• Strong bench skills with oscilloscopes, current probes, and signal integrity debug tools
• Experience with DFM/DFA and working with contract manufacturers
• Proficiency in controlled impedance routing and mixed-signal design

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with FCC, CE, or UL certification and EMC pre-compliance testing
• Functional safety design experience (ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
• Familiarity with embedded firmware at the hardware/firmware boundary
• Experience with high-density or thermally-constrained PCB layouts
• Background in production test fixture design and manufacturing ramp
• Proficiency in Python for test automation
• Use of AI-assisted EDA or coding tools
