About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain electrical control panels for industrial chiller systems throughout the product lifecycle.
- Collaborate with product management, software, and systems engineering to define controls and motor controller requirements.
- Draft and refine complex electrical schematics for power and control chiller units.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to Field Service Engineers and technicians.
- Conduct lab-based testing to validate electrical components and system performance.
- Identify and resolve production line issues by updating engineering drawings and specifications.
- Work with supply chain to identify and oversee suppliers for control and motor control solutions.
- Ensure all designs maintain strict code compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 4+ years of experience in control panel design, layout, and electrical component sizing.
- 4+ years of experience ensuring electrical code compliance.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically for project requirements and site visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the HVAC industry.
- Experience with high voltage and variable frequency power electronics integration.
- Background in laboratory testing and validation processes.
- Proficiency with DFMEA analysis.
