About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain electrical control panels for industrial chiller systems throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with product management, software, and systems engineering to define controls and motor controller requirements.
  • Work with supply chain to identify and manage suppliers for control and motor control solutions.
  • Provide oversight for control and motor control integration and production.
  • Ensure all designs maintain strict code compliance.
  • Support field service teams by providing expert-level technical guidance and troubleshooting for complex electrical queries.
  • Conduct laboratory-based testing to validate electrical components and system performance.
  • Execute sustaining engineering initiatives, including updating technical drawings and resolving production line issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 4+ years of experience in control panel design, layout, and electrical component sizing.
  • 4+ years of experience ensuring electrical code compliance.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% domestically for project requirements and site visits.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Experience with high voltage and variable frequency power electronics integration.
  • Proficiency in drafting and refining complex electrical schematics.
  • Experience with DFMEA analysis and laboratory testing environments.
