Candid is building the AI layer for EPCs. We use AI to reduce the manual effort behind preconstruction engineering by automating document understanding, consistency checks, and repetitive workflow steps across major disciplines. Our team includes engineers from MIT, Carnegie Mellon, and leading industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on electrical engineering on FEL-2 and early-phase delivery work
• Act as the quality gate for automated electrical outputs to ensure accuracy
• Define how electrical scope is developed and validated through FEED on power and gas-to-power projects
• Review and validate deliverables including single-lines, load lists, transformer/switchgear sizing, and grounding
• Build repeatable checks to catch inconsistencies across load assumptions and equipment requirements
• Map electrical rework patterns and clarify interface points with Mechanical, Process, and Instrumentation disciplines
• Help define product requirements to automate repetitive engineering tasks

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience at a large-scale EPC, PMC, owner-operator, or utility
• Direct experience with combined cycle, simple cycle, gas-to-power, LNG, or cogeneration projects
• Proven ownership of single-line diagram and electrical load list development through FEED
• Expertise in power system architecture (GSU, station service transformers, MV/LV switchgear, MCCs, grounding)
• Proficiency with power system study tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, or PSS/E
• Working knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70, IEEE, NESC, NERC, and IEC standards
• Familiarity with grid interconnection and switchyard interfaces

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as a discipline lead or technical authority
• Experience with data center or behind-the-meter power campuses
• Experience with brownfield tie-ins and islanded power systems
• Knowledge of protection and relaying philosophy or interconnection studies
• Strong interest in AI and automation
