Senior Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical planning, design, and construction support for advanced drug substance manufacturing facilities
• Support design and equipment selection for process, utilities, and building systems to optimize lifecycle costs and quality
• Execute and guide the commissioning and validation of systems to ensure compliance with GMP regulations
• Provide technical expertise for plant operations, including troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions
• Lead engineering-based improvements and upgrades to process equipment systems
• Collaborate with capital projects teams to ensure site standards and requirements are met during construction and startup
• Support electrical safety initiatives in collaboration with EHSS

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and 4 years of engineering experience, or Master's degree and 2 years of engineering experience
• Knowledge of cGMP and electrical codes (e.g., NEC, NETA, OSHA)
• Experience with medium voltage electrical distribution systems, including switchgear and transformers
• Experience with 600V and below electrical distribution systems
• Ability to provide technical direction to external design firms

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Experience working in a regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment
• Strong leadership, technical writing, and communication skills
• Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 10%
