Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Company

Matic is on a mission to recapture lost time by revolutionizing home robotics. Their first product is a floor cleaning robot featuring real-time 3D mapping and adaptive path-tracking, powered by spatial AI and on-device neural networks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and manufacturing of critical PCBAs in the system
• Handle subsystem design, prototyping, component selection, schematic capture, and prototype bring-up
• Perform board layout for PCB assemblies including SoCs, microcontrollers, sensors, and power devices
• Manage electromechanical integration through collaboration with mechanical and firmware engineers
• Develop specifications and accelerated test plans to validate product lifetime
• Work with CMs to ensure proper production of PCBAs and subassemblies

Requirements

• Technical degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years of professional electrical design experience on a high-volume shipped product
• Proficiency with ECAD tools such as Altium Designer or Cadence
• Experience with digital protocols including I2C, SPI, USB, and MIPI
• Experience with component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout
• Experience verifying and validating functional requirements of electrical systems
• Exposure to regulatory certification processes
• Experience with supply chain management and PCBA contract manufacturing
