Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical systems for sensors, compute architecture, and power systems in humanoid robots
• Create detailed schematics and PCB layouts using Altium
• Write firmware in C and HDL for microcontrollers, DSPs, and FPGAs
• Use command-line Linux for network configuration and robot interfacing
• Validate designs using lab equipment like oscilloscopes, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers
• Collaborate with mechanical and software teams for seamless hardware integration

Requirements

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Proficiency with Altium for schematic capture and layout
• Experience with high-speed data technologies (PCIe, Ethernet, EtherCAT)
• Experience developing power regulation and distribution systems
• Familiarity with embedded programming in C and HDL
• Working knowledge of circuit simulation and debugging techniques

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python, C++, LabView, or MATLAB for automation
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or mechanical CAD tools
• Familiarity with Verilog or VHDL
• Experience building Linux kernels and writing device drivers
