Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and routing of dense cable harnesses and assemblies in compact mechanical enclosures using SolidWorks Electrical 3D
• Development of 2D electrical schematics, power distribution schemes, and interconnects in SolidWorks Electrical 2D
• Collaboration with mechanical engineers to optimize layout and component placement
• Integration of multi-layer PCBs designed in Altium Designer into the overall product architecture
• Ensuring compliance with military standards (MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461)
• Working in R&D laboratory: prototyping, manufacturing test harnesses, and conducting diagnostic tests

Requirements

• 5+ years of commercial experience in electrical system design
• Proficiency in SolidWorks Electrical 2D and 3D
• Experience selecting military-grade components (Glenair, Amphenol, Souriau, etc.)
• Practical knowledge of IPC-WHMA-620 standard
• Ability to work full-time in the office and undergo necessary security clearances

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in MilTech, aerospace, robotics, or automotive industries
• Experience with SolidWorks PDM
• PLC programming or test automation experience
• Certified SolidWorks Professional – Electrical (CSWP-E)
