Senior Electrical Construction Estimator

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for electrical systems in construction projects
• Review project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required materials
• Lead the development of comprehensive cost management plans with project teams
• Analyze project requirements and provide value engineering options
• Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering
• Communicate and collaborate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Utilize industry-specific estimating software and tools to prepare estimates
• Provide estimating advice, guidance, and analysis to project stakeholders
• Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry-specific estimating processes and methodologies
• Prepare formal estimating reports including quantity, cost, escalation, and other assumptions
• Mentor and support junior estimators to foster professional development
• Adhere to SOX control responsibilities where applicable

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant experience
• Experience in construction cost management roles such as Cost Manager, Quantity Surveyor, Estimator, or Project Engineer
• Experience providing conceptual estimating or pre-construction services at a construction management firm
• Experience supporting large scale construction projects and programs
• Strong knowledge of construction industry technical matters, value management, and value engineering
• Excellent communication skills
