About the role

Responsibilities

  • Collect information to support the definition of requirements for Active/RF EEE parts, materials, and processes for satellite and aerospace products
  • Incorporate changes to specifications and documents to manage the deployment of materials, parts, and processes
  • Perform tests to qualify new EEE parts and processes to meet mission requirements
  • Assist with supplier qualification activities and conduct analysis to determine reasons for EEE part or process failures
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability
  • Use project management tools to ensure cost, technical, and schedule requirements are met
  • Integrate environmental health, safety, LEAN, and Quality principles into research, design, and lab procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry
  • 9+ years of experience in the design and development of EEE components (or 7+ years with a Master's degree)
  • Experience with military standards and specifications for design, test, and documentation
  • Ability to obtain or maintain a Tier 5 (T5) investigation clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Component engineering experience in Active EEE parts development (e.g., diodes, transistors, microcircuits, FPGAs, oscillators, isolators, MMICs)
  • Experience developing high-reliability components or subsystems for space, including writing qualification plans and executing environmental tests
  • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex technical challenges and drive closure
  • Experience presenting materials at preliminary and critical design reviews
  • Exposure to intelligence, defense, science, or commercial markets
