Senior EHSS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement environmental, health, and safety policies in compliance with EPA and OSHA regulations
• Drive enforcement of standardized EHSS policies and practices at the manufacturing site
• Conduct incident investigations for accidents, injuries, and potential workplace hazards
• Coordinate and maintain environmental programs, including auditing and inspections
• Manage environmental and IH testing for stormwater, sound, IAQ, and personal exposures
• Act as a technical lead on topics such as machine guarding, lockout/tagout, and hazardous materials
• Oversee combustible dust safety engineering controls and detection systems
• Develop and implement safety education, training, and employee involvement programs
• Support Behavior Based Safety (BBS) through data supply and coaching

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of direct safety responsibility, preferably in manufacturing
• BS/Masters Degree in occupational health & safety, engineering, or environmental sciences
• Experience managing Title V air permits and stormwater/wastewater permit compliance
• Experience researching, designing, and writing EHS policies and programs
• Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state safety and health regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, holidays, and weekends as required by operational needs

Preferred Qualifications

• ASP/CSP, CHMM, or PE certification
• Registered Environmental Manager or Registered Environmental Professional certification
• OSHA outreach trainer or Powered Industrial Truck trainer experience
