Senior EHS Consultant

Responsibilities

• Manage environmental, health, and safety compliance for eight regulated solar and battery sites and provide H&S support to the WS-Lee facility.
• Monitor organizational EHS practices to facilitate compliance with company and regulatory policies to mitigate risks.
• Provide advanced-level regulatory reporting, safety training support, and assistance with the development of compliance procedures.
• Research and evaluate EHS programs, policies, and activities to solve complex problems and implement solutions.
• Consult with management on existing EHS programs and track regulatory changes, legislative activities, and industry standards.
• Work with federal, state, and local regulatory authorities to interpret laws and regulations.
• Develop positive working relationships with peers, customers, employees, and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Health and Safety, Science, or a related field with 6 years of related experience.
• OR a High School Diploma/GED with 10 years of related work experience.
• Ability to travel 25-50% to field locations and work sites.
• Ability to work onsite in various weather conditions and perform field/facility visitations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Engineering, Health and Safety, Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of work experience in power generation or transmission/distribution operations.
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety practices.
• Outstanding interpersonal, influencing, and listening skills to foster effective collaboration.
• A collaborative spirit and ability to work with diverse teams to reach common goals.
