Senior Educational Technologist

Responsibilities

• Act as a core functional contributor to the Canvas LMS environment, managing sub-accounts, user permissions, and system configurations
• Maintain and improve the integrated CMS framework within Canvas for structured course navigation
• Analyze system usage data to optimize platform adoption and troubleshoot technical issues
• Lead the evaluation, testing, and deployment of new LTI-integrated tools and third-party applications
• Establish a vetting process for EdTech tools regarding technical compatibility, accessibility (WCAG/VPAT), and data privacy (FERPA, COPPA, SOPPA)
• Architect teaching and learning strategies for the K-12 iPad environment
• Manage educational media platforms like Canvas Studio or Panopto to support asynchronous learning
• Partner with IT/MDM teams to facilitate seamless app deployment on student and faculty iPads

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years in educational technology, instructional design, or systems administration
• Deep functional knowledge of LMS and CMS frameworks
• Proven track record of configuring LTI 1.3/Advantage integrations
• Extensive experience with the Apple ecosystem and using iPads as learning tools
• Strong understanding of student data privacy laws (FERPA, COPPA)
• Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Computer Science, or a related field
