Senior EDS Drawing Engineer (2D)

Responsibilities

• Implement logical and mechanical data (circuits, complexity, harness layout, coverings, and fixings) into Capital XC in alignment with harness DFM requirements
• Create 2D drawings and complete release packages, including Bill of Materials (BOM) and DSI files, for wiring harness suppliers
• Take full ownership of the wiring harness design throughout the entire development process, from initial concept to vehicle launch
• Liaise with other EDS functions, including Circuits, Complexity, and 3D CAD, to resolve technical issues
• Manage product changes during both the development and production phases
• Support the purchasing team with technical data sets and assist the component team in maintaining the Capital Library
• Collaborate with 3D and circuit teams to implement DFM requirements in circuits and 3D harness design
• Provide design clarifications to harness suppliers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field
• At least 5 years of professional experience in electrical design
• Proven experience in 2D harness drawing
• Previous experience working with Automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
• Proficiency with Siemens / Mentor Graphics CAPITAL tools (XC)
• Strong understanding of wire harness construction and knowledge of low voltage and high voltage components
• Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
