Responsibilities

• Own editorial quality end to end and reject mediocrity
• Evolve and enforce the company voice across all channels
• Plan and manage the editorial calendar and production pipeline
• Edit at every level, from high-level vision to line-level copy editing
• Mentor, elevate, and attract excellent writers
• Build and evolve editorial systems, style guides, and workflows
• Work productively across the company to meet content needs

Requirements

• 7+ years in editing, writing, or editorial leadership
• Exceptional command of language with a strong body of published work
• High flexibility of tone and ability to adapt styles for different audiences
• Competence in developmental editing, copy editing, and content planning
• Proven track record of mentoring writers and improving team output
• Refined judgment on structure, argument, and voice
• Ability to find narrative in messy, ambiguous, or highly technical material
• Deep familiarity with grammar, style, and storytelling rules
• Comfort using AI tools within editorial workflows
