Senior Editor

Responsibilities

• Manage editorial workflows and project queues to ensure timely delivery of all client-facing materials
• Develop and maintain brand-specific style sheets, departmental SOPs, and process documentation
• Review and edit content for grammar, punctuation, spelling, readability, and adherence to brand style guides
• Perform final quality control checks to ensure all edits are captured and materials are error-free
• Mentor and train editorial team members, fostering professional growth and leadership within the department
• Collaborate with writers and account teams to resolve content disputes and ensure brand consistency
• Conduct research to verify facts, dates, and statistics using standard reference sources
• Monitor industry trends for stylistic preferences and patient-focused communication standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university
• 3-5 years of related editorial or proofreading experience
• Mastery of the English language and a strong eye for detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities independently
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Fluency in a foreign language
• Experience working within legal and regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA or HIPAA environments)
