Senior Drainage Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design all aspects of drainage for highways, rail, and urban development projects
• Prepare DMRB design reports and technical specifications for stormwater drainage
• Manage day-to-day projects, including concept studies, detailed designs, and construction drawings
• Conduct flood risk assessments and surface water drainage strategies
• Perform direct line management, including mentoring and managing early-career professionals
• Liaise with UK offices to assist in fee proposals and financial project control
• Ensure all projects meet QA, CDM, sustainability, and HSE requirements

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a relevant engineering field
• Strong academic background with an Engineering degree
• Proven experience working within a UK-based consultancy
• Proficiency in InfoDrainage and MicroDrainage (or Causeway Flow)
• Deep understanding of hydraulic and hydrological principles
• Ability to execute high-quality SuDS designs
