Senior Domestic Gas Sales Negotiator

Responsibilities

• Identify, originate, and develop high-quality domestic gas offtake opportunities, converting them into profitable short-term and long-term sales agreements.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of credible gas offtakers across industrial, power, city-gas, and distributor segments.
• Establish and sustain senior-level relationships with key natural gas end users, distributors, aggregators, and relevant market institutions.
• Develop, evaluate, and implement innovative pricing structures, product offerings, and risk-mitigation solutions tailored to evolving market conditions.
• Apply strong analytical capabilities to assess market fundamentals, customer economics, and portfolio impacts.
• Work closely with Gas Operations, Optimization, Trading, and Risk Management teams to ensure effective contract implementation and value protection.
• Contribute market intelligence and commercial insights to inform broader portfolio and strategy decisions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of proven experience in domestic gas and LNG market development, sales, marketing, or commercial roles.
• Well-established network of natural gas end users, distributors, and key market participants in China.
• Demonstrated expertise in commercial structuring, including innovative pricing, indexation, and risk-mitigation tools.
• Proven experience executing gas or LNG product offerings via major oil and gas exchanges in China.
• Strong understanding of China’s domestic gas market structure, regulatory environment, and trading mechanisms.
• Minimum Master’s degree in Engineering, Economics, Commerce, or a related discipline.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, both written and spoken.
