Senior Diver & Dive Operations Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee all daily dive centre operations, including training, marine surveys, and coral restoration activities
• Act as a dive supervisor to ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and compliance with KCRI SOPs
• Lead, mentor, and train a team of divers to maintain high operational standards and a safety-first culture
• Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive dive plans for various operational scenarios
• Manage dive equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and servicing schedules to ensure constant readiness
• Facilitate logistics for dive operations, including site preparation and transportation coordination
• Maintain accurate records of dives, safety drills, training sessions, and equipment maintenance
• Collaborate with scientists and marine biologists to support survey and restoration projects
• Participate in emergency preparedness drills and lead incident response initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Marine Sciences, Environmental Management, or a related field
• Recognized dive instructor certification (PADI, SSI, CMAS, or equivalent)
• At least 6 years of professional diving experience
• Proven supervisory or management experience in dive operations, preferably in marine restoration or research
• Strong knowledge of marine safety standards, diving protocols, and emergency response procedures
• Ability to work effectively in remote locations and adapt to changing environmental conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical diving certifications such as CCR or Trimix
• Recognized emergency response qualifications such as Diver Medic or DMT
• Experience in equipment servicing, repair, and managing technical diving operations
