Senior Distributed Systems Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build out never-before-seen capabilities in a storage service
• Design distributed systems interactions for atomicity and idempotency
• Deploy and generalize infrastructure across different clouds
• Lead teams of engineers through complex decisions and PR feedback
• Participate in on-call rotations for production systems
• Operate through changing customer requirements and ambiguity

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building and operating distributed systems
• Deep knowledge of distributed systems, including consensus and scaling
• Experience debugging complex problems across multiple systems using metrics and logs
• Understanding of system performance optimization, latency, and throughput bottlenecks
• Strong fundamental knowledge of computer architecture and systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
