Senior Discipline Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of complex engineering projects, specifically those involving new designs based on existing knowledge or rules.
• Serve as a technical referent for critical problem solving using methodologies such as QRQC to identify root causes.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Discipline Engineers to support their professional development.
• Develop, improve, and validate design standards to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and integrated solutions.
• Drive innovation by proposing new engineering solutions and identifying patentable inventions for intellectual property protection.
• Execute the digitalization roadmap by identifying opportunities for process automation and improvement.
• Manage budget commitments by optimizing resource allocation and adhering to cost-effective practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical project leadership within a mechanical engineering discipline.
• Strong expertise in complex problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Demonstrated ability in mentoring and coaching junior or mid-level engineers.
• Experience in developing and implementing engineering design standards.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with both internal teams and external customers.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative environment.
