Senior Discipline Engineer

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of complex engineering projects, specifically those involving new designs based on existing knowledge or rules.
• Serve as a technical referent for critical problem solving using QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) methodologies.
• Provide technical coaching and mentorship to Discipline Engineers to foster professional development.
• Develop, improve, and validate design standards to ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution and integrated solutions.
• Contribute to the Digitalization Roadmap by identifying opportunities for process automation and improvement.
• Propose innovative solutions to engineering challenges and identify patentable inventions for intellectual property protection.
• Manage budget commitments by optimizing resource allocation and adhering to cost-effective practices.

Requirements

• Proven experience in technical project leadership within a mechanical engineering environment.
• Expertise in problem-solving methodologies, specifically QRQC.
• Strong ability to provide technical coaching and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Experience in developing and implementing engineering design standards.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across different technical disciplines.
• Strong communication skills for presenting complex technical solutions to internal and external customers.
