About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and execute disaster recovery and continuity of operations (COOP) plans for enterprise systems and services
- Support implementation and testing of backup, recovery, and failover capabilities across cloud and enterprise environments
- Conduct disaster recovery exercises, tabletop events, and recovery validation testing
- Analyze system dependencies, critical business functions, and recovery objectives to support resilience planning
- Coordinate recovery operations during outages, cyber incidents, and continuity events
- Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud operations, infrastructure, and DevSecOps teams to improve resilience capabilities
- Ensure compliance with NIST SP 800-53, RMF, COOP, and DoD cybersecurity requirements
- Participate in SAFe ceremonies including PI Planning, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews
Requirements
- Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with SCI eligibility
- Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Cybersecurity, IT, Engineering, etc.) with 8–12 years of experience, or a Master's degree with 6–10 years of experience
- DoD 8570/8140 baseline certification (e.g., CySA+, Security+, CASP+)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in disaster recovery, continuity planning, or a related field
- Experience with backup, replication, and recovery technologies in cloud or hybrid environments
- Experience applying NIST SP 800-53, RMF, and DoD cybersecurity requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance
- Experience supporting DR/COOP operations across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments
- Experience with AWS backup and recovery services or other cloud-native resilience tools
- Experience supporting DevSecOps-integrated recovery and resilience processes
- Relevant certifications such as CBCP or CISSP
