Senior Director, Vaccine Development Management

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level project management expertise for Vaccines Global Product Teams, driving strategic and operational objectives from early development through licensure.
• Partner with Research and Clinical Leads to develop forward-thinking programs that maximize medical and commercial value.
• Manage program timelines, budgets, and risk analysis to ensure operational deliverables are met on or ahead of schedule.
• Facilitate effective team collaboration and lead through influence to resolve conflicts and drive high-quality decision-making.
• Analyze vaccine portfolio issues and prepare executive reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
• Support organizational portfolio planning, resource forecasting, and long-term development management function planning.

Requirements

• 10+ years of biotechnology experience with specific expertise in vaccine or drug development.
• Proven track record of successful project management within cross-disciplinary, highly matrixed organizations.
• Extensive knowledge of project management disciplines and their application to R&D.
• Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to influence peers, coach others, and manage complex stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse professional backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MD) in biology, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Academic or professional training in business management.
• Deep understanding of disease pathophysiology, scientific mechanisms of action, and the competitive landscape.
