Senior Director, Total Rewards

Responsibilities

• Architect the total rewards strategy to attract, reward, and retain talent across engineering, product, and G&A
• Design infrastructure including job architecture, compensation philosophy, leveling frameworks, and benefits programs
• Build and scale people operations, HR systems, and workforce analytics to support growth from 350 to 1,200+ employees
• Establish operational workflows and service standards for the People function
• Develop analytics capabilities and dashboards to provide insights into workforce health and compensation competitiveness
• Partner with the executive team and board on executive compensation and talent investment
• Hire and lead a team of specialists across compensation, benefits, and HR systems

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience in total rewards, compensation, or HR leadership
• 5+ years in senior leadership roles
• Proven experience building Total Rewards infrastructure during significant high-growth phases
• Deep expertise in equity compensation, job architecture, and market benchmarking
• Strong command of HR systems and data infrastructure with experience in system implementations
• Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on operational execution
• Experience partnering with executives and boards
• Located in San Francisco and open to working in office
