Senior Director - Strategic Sourcing Lead

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee strategic sourcing and contracting activities across the External Manufacturing network in alignment with category strategies.
• Translate category strategies into actionable sourcing plans, RFx activities, negotiations, and contract outcomes.
• Own the delivery of annual sourcing value and savings commitments aligned to Finance targets and business plans.
• Lead supplier engagement, including commercial discussions and negotiations, ensuring contracts meet regulatory and business requirements.
• Identify and mitigate sourcing-related supply risks to ensure business continuity and resilience.
• Act as a trusted procurement partner to External Manufacturing and Business Development stakeholders.
• Lead, coach, and develop the Strategic Sourcing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience leading strategic sourcing and contracting teams, preferably in External Manufacturing or regulated industries.
• Working knowledge of sourcing practices within pharmaceutical, biotech, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Minimum of 3 years of people leadership or equivalent team leadership experience.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with a proven ability to manage savings commitments.
• Ability to operate effectively in evolving, matrixed organizations and lead through ambiguity.
• Master's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 9+ years, OR Associate's degree with 12+ years.
