Senior Director, Software Engineering

Responsibilities

• Build the organization and culture to position Mexico City as a center of excellence within Fanatics’ global engineering organization
• Partner with US-based engineering, product, talent acquisition, and operations leaders to align roadmaps and define team structures
• Own scalable infrastructure for Payments, Warehouse Technology, Transportation, Customer Experience Technology, Identity, and Trust & Safety systems
• Establish best practices that enable your engineering team to reliably deliver high impact software
• Partner with Finance and Trust & Safety operations teams to improve key health metrics
• Represent Fanatics in Mexico City by building relationships in the local tech community and attracting top talent

Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience
• 7+ years of people management experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams
• 5+ years of experience in e-commerce operations technology (payments, WMS, logistics, identity, or trust & safety)
• Expertise in at least one operational systems domain (payments, warehouse/logistics, or trust & safety)
• Experience attracting and developing senior engineers in the LATAM market

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in multinational or US-scale technology companies
• Strong cross-functional collaboration and communication skills
• Proven track record of creating structure out of ambiguity
• Business fluency in English
• Based in Mexico City or open to relocating
