Senior Director, Production

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of Upstream or Downstream production operations within a GMP manufacturing environment
• Direct a production team of managers, chemists, and technicians to manage workflow, scheduling, and quality
• Establish and enforce production and quality standards while ensuring alignment with site strategy and customer needs
• Implement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and operational excellence following GMP principles
• Manage production budgets, resource utilization, and cost control targets
• Develop the production organization by hiring, training, and setting performance goals for the workforce
• Foster a positive safety culture and ensure all employees receive adequate environmental, health, and safety training

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 8-10 years of related experience, OR
• Master's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 10-15 years of related experience, OR
• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering with 15-20 years of related experience
• 7-9 years of managerial experience in cGMP manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of large-scale manufacturing and process development
• Proficiency in various in-process analytical methods
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Preferred Qualifications

• 4-6 years of experience in peptide and oligonucleotide manufacturing (upstream and downstream)
