About the role
Responsibilities
- Set the multi-year product strategy and roadmap for the global subscriptions platform, driving subscriber growth and retention.
- Own and optimize the core subscriptions stack, including paywall technology, entitlements, payment processing, identity, and CRM tooling.
- Lead cross-domain orchestration between Ad Tech, Mar Tech, and Commerce to deliver a unified reader experience.
- Manage, hire, and mentor a high-performing team of product managers.
- Drive revenue decisions through data-driven experimentation, targeting improvements in conversion rates, churn reduction, and LTV.
- Partner with senior business leadership and external strategic partners like Stripe, Apple, and Google to maximize acquisition and reduce friction.
- Serve as the executive accountable for incident response regarding subscription delivery and authentication availability.
Requirements
- 10+ years of hands-on product experience, with at least 5+ years leading product teams.
- Deep expertise in subscription business models, consumer revenue, and lifecycle marketing.
- Proven track record of building and scaling subscription businesses in media, streaming, or consumer SaaS.
- Strong analytical foundation with proficiency in SQL and A/B testing methodology.
- Technical fluency in payments, identity, entitlements, and platform architecture.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives across adjacent domains like advertising or marketing technology.
- Ability to operate as a "builder-operator," comfortable with both executive strategy and hands-on execution.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience shipping AI-powered consumer experiences or utilizing AI to accelerate product workflows.
- Experience managing high-level vendor relationships and shaping commercial terms.
- Background in managing complex digital media ecosystems with multiple global brands.
