Senior Director, Product Safety and Technical Compliance

Responsibilities

• Lead Peloton’s global Technical Product Safety organization and define global product safety and regulatory compliance strategy
• Serve as the senior technical authority and escalation leader for product safety investigations and incidents
• Lead the Product Investigation Council to ensure data-driven decision-making
• Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate product safety risks across the portfolio
• Establish governance frameworks to monitor risks and lead technical investigations
• Build and sustain a closed-loop problem-solving system using root cause analysis and CAPA
• Represent Peloton in external regulatory forums such as UL, EN, and ASTM
• Review and guide changes to products and processes that impact safety

Requirements

• 7+ years of leadership experience in Product Safety, Regulatory Compliance, or Quality
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
• 5+ years of experience in consumer goods (B2C) environments
• Proven experience leading global, cross-functional teams
• Expertise in structured problem-solving methodologies like 8D
• Exceptional communication and influencing skills for executive stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering
• Experience in fitness, connected devices, or consumer electronics
• Familiarity with product risk management and regulatory reporting (CPSC, EU Safety Gate)
• Experience partnering with external manufacturers and testing laboratories
• Understanding of Design for Safety, FMEA, and fault tree analysis
