About the role

Responsibilities

  • Design and advance a next-generation clinical and portfolio insights platform for real-time reporting and analytics
  • Establish a single source of truth by integrating internal and external operational data from CROs and vendors
  • Architect a centralized operational data infrastructure in partnership with IT/Digital
  • Develop standard analytical frameworks, KPIs, and visualization standards for clinical studies and portfolios
  • Lead the creation of advanced analytics and simulation capabilities to predict development timelines, costs, and risks
  • Deploy AI/ML-powered prescriptive analytics to provide actionable recommendations and scenario modeling
  • Develop predictive country and site selection analytics to optimize trial delivery
  • Design an integrated resource management capability to analyze demand vs. actuals and predict capacity bottlenecks
  • Drive change management and adoption of new analytics capabilities across the organization

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or life sciences field (e.g., Statistics, Data Science, Engineering, Biology)
  • 15+ years of experience in biopharma/biotech R&D with a focus on clinical operations analytics or portfolio management
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Proven track record building enterprise data and analytics platforms for R&D portfolios
  • Expertise in portfolio, program, and study KPIs and scenario modeling
  • Hands-on experience with advanced analytics, ML, forecasting, and simulation
  • Strong understanding of the clinical development lifecycle and GCP/GxP expectations
  • Exceptional executive presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or PhD in Data Science, Biostatistics, or Operations Research
  • MBA degree
  • Experience with site/country selection analytics and enrollment prediction
  • Familiarity with R&D systems such as CTMS, EDC, eTMF, and RTSM
  • Background in data governance and data product management
